My last post on Painting in Provence. Two oils and one gouache. All three were halfway done in the field and completed afterwards. they were all done at about three in the afternoon on hot days with the cigales singing in my ears, which was typical and I have no complaints about that. But the ants are at their most active at three in the afternoon too! Or so it felt! I got bitten the second I dare stand still and at some point I started feeling like I was knee deep in the movie “The Mummy”!

free moody paintings and lovely photos – you’ve got lots of memories and stuff to work from :>)
What fun..Ronelle..you really master all mediums:) And the camera is such a good friend to you too..Love the images..Do you miss it already?
The ants came marching 2 by by 2..tara tara..:) That song.. is in my mind now..
Beautiful all around. You have some inspiring scenery to work with. I loved the older guys around the table.
Incredible work here – paintings and photos!
I often wish I were a “visual” artist. As a writer, I can put images into words — but never on canvas or captured on film. I’m glad there are people like you in the world…
🙂
Beautiful post!
Both the paintings and the photographs are just stunning! You are one talented lady! 🙂
Inspiring. I love the vineyards. Congrats on being Freshly Pressed.

Ronelle
Magnifique!
Gorgeous work!
And from your photos, I can honestly say that I’m envious of your location.
Bellissimi quadri e stupende fotografie: paesaggi incantevoli!
Grazie.
The photos seem as austere as the oils. Two mediums and one eye that translates both views extremely well. Still I think you are a natural right-hander. I like one of your expressions more than the other. The one that I don’t prefer is still exquisite. Wonderful post.I am so glad I saw it.
Beautiful pictures and paintings
Your paintings show such movement. I love it! And the photos are great. They just feel so exotic. Makes me wish I could travel more.
Thanks!
Beautiful paintings, Ronelle, and I love the photos, too, especially those ones of the steps
and buildings. I see such a variety of greens in Provence–or maybe it’s just that this Texas drought is making my eyes yearn to see a variety of greens? I feel so lucky to have you 4 sharing these times with us.

Dear Africantapestry!
Congratulations to being freshly pressed and your very nice paintings! I love the water ones. I know how difficult it is to paint outside, mostly because of wind or staring people (Ohhhhh, what are you painting?). But I love the light which you do not get inside.
I will have a look at the other ones as well! Thanks for your inspiration!
Ginger (I only put my English blog at the top in case you would like to get to know me:-)

I can’t believe I had to wait until you got home to see these beautiful paintings, Ronelle. I particularly love the gouache. Great photos as ever. Sadly the time flew, didn’t it.
