Autumn trees.

We are having a lot of rain, which results in the trees losing their leaves fast. The yellows in the trees and carpets on the ground are just too beautiful to pass up and an overcast day is perfect for capturing the contrasts.

Oxalis in a pot plein air.

I did a plein air of a garden corner this morning when the rain came spitting down. I had time to hastily finish, but it was good to be out painting plein air again.

I am so looking forward to thé mélange of iceberg roses, lavender, santolinas and irisés that fill up my border. All except the lavender have been planted this year and it already looks good. The lavender was the only thing we planted last year. Luckily they survived last year’s drought and they look happy and full of potential flowers…soon!
The red and yellow cherries(don’t know which variety these are) are starting to get red cheeks. These are my favourite cherries. The red ones are a bit later, but with the heat that we’re having now they will soon be beautiful!
My climbing rose, MON JARDIN & MA MAISON, which I planted bare roots this spring started flowering on the terrace.
Le soleil est de retour après une semaine de pluie!
