I enjoy painting water, it is so satisfying trying to catch the movement of the water, the light, the stillness, the depth, the values… These paintings are from the canals in Isle sur la sorgue in Provence.

Olive trees are my favourite subject to paint. I love their shape, their colour and the provencal atmosphere they convey. They make me feel like I am home.

This past season I indulged in painting the lavender fields here in Provence. It is easier said then done to paint a lavender field.But I definitely enjoyed every minute. And I cant wait for the next season! All for sale on my website, Ronells art.
