I did a plein air of a garden corner this morning when the rain came spitting down. I had time to hastily finish, but it was good to be out painting plein air again.

We have many pear trees and the horses love the pears. those that don’t get eaten by the horses we use to make cider, which is actually not my favorite thing. I think this year I will only eat the pears.

It is time for the grapes of autumn, my favorite being Muscat. the problem with grapes is that you don’t keep track of how much you eat and before you know it you have devoured bunch after bunch of sugar! The peaches are nearing the end of the season so I have to get in as much painting… and eating as possible. It is not a bad thing though. Autumn has its own wonderul fruit and vegetables to paint…and eat.
