This olive grove is a stone throw away from my home and I keep on coming back to it to paint. It is full of olives at the moment and harvesting time is not far off. Our skies are a bit softer at the moment which makes for more gentle and less bright colours on the palette.

I just love the provencal landscape! Now is the time to paint the vineyards in Provence, following them into autumn when they will change into all kinds of reds and yellows and ochres. It is harvest time in Provence and the roads are filled with tractors loaded with grapes, on their way to the cooperatives. It is a busy time and exciting time, painting wise as well.

Last year was my fisrt season of painting the vineyards in Provence in autumn. I love the colours of the vines in fall, it is so atmospheric and I try to convey that feelng through my paintings. I can hardly wait for this years autumn paintings, but for now I enjoy the last summer days.

This past season I indulged in painting the lavender fields here in Provence. It is easier said then done to paint a lavender field.But I definitely enjoyed every minute. And I cant wait for the next season! All for sale on my website, Ronells art.
