The vineyards are starting to turn into yellows, reds and browns. Harvest time is mostly over, although here and there you can still see some late harvesting going on.
Apart from loving to paint landscapes and especially the olive trees of Provence, I also enjoy painting coffee corners. A little table and chairs in a cozy Provencal corner. It isn’t always that easy, but therein lies the challenge I suppose. It might come out a little wonky sometimes, but to me, that is OK as long as it conveys an ambiance.
Last year was my fisrt season of painting the vineyards in Provence in autumn. I love the colours of the vines in fall, it is so atmospheric and I try to convey that feelng through my paintings. I can hardly wait for this years autumn paintings, but for now I enjoy the last summer days.
This past season I indulged in painting the lavender fields here in Provence. It is easier said then done to paint a lavender field. But I definitely enjoyed every minute. And I cant wait for the next season! All for sale on my website, Ronells art.
